The walks along the river at the side of the cottage with our two very happy pouches was perfect and they have loved every minute of their two weeks stay.
The fishing was excellent, caught many trout and lots of roach.
Thank you Kieran for a perfect stay. Will be seeing you soon.

Kieran has been a 5* host from the goodies on arrival to his attention to our every need. The garden is an absolute delight(more like a country estate)whether its the lovely path by the Owenmore river or the beautiful mown paths among the stone walls and the trees. Its all so relaxing and peaceful and yey such a perfect base for the whole area. Were here for the first time but already booked for 2024!! C'ant wait! P.S. We admit to the theft of 2 pieces of turf as souveniers!!!

Mike and Helen London - 5th of July 2023 For 6 weeks.

We have had the joy of coming to James Tymon cottage since 2017 and this I think is our 8th visit. The cottage and grounds amazed us from the start and continues to work its magic every time. We have watched it slowly evolve as Kieran continues to work wonders both inside and outside yet always maintaining the cottages charm.
We have been able to spend lots of quality time outside watching spring unfold watching the birds, trees flowers and insect life come to life.
When we first came here we brought our four dogs and it was just as amazing for them. There has been an addition and sadly three losses over the years but the memories of their times here live on fondly in our hearts with the adventures we have had. So we say cheerio to James Tymon for now to Tess bridge, Megs meadow and Beths Brook. We are still building the memories in Connies corner and ella's Orchard.
Sorry to be leaving but buoyed with the knowledge that we will be back to enjoy the magic of Autumn in all its glory later in the year. Looking forward to the next time.

We had a wonderful time in this most lovely cottage This is a very special place not so much a holiday home which it is too but rather a beautifully kept home The grounds are really beautifully kept Walking the trails is a very special way to enjoy the local nature and finding a picnic bench or a coffee table and chairs strategically placed is a thing of joy. We really enjoyed our time here.

Hilary, Andrew & Sean  8th to the 15th of August 2020

We really enjoyed our staycation in the beautifully restored James Tymon cottage. The restoration to its former glory is a credit to you its owner. It truly is a labour of love. The walks around the fields, through the woods and along the river are restful and permits contemplation. Next time I may try the trout fishing.

Coming home to James Tymon cottage was a pack full of great great memories. You have truly created the most wonderful home from home. You have managed to marry the old Tymon charm ( fires food and warmth) with just the right mix of modern creature comforts. The peace and tranquillity remain second to none and we look forward to coming back soon.

Joe, Patricia

Well this has been a much looked forward to a week and as usual, it didn't disappoint. The weather was mixed and the river flooded on occasion but this did not take away in any way from the beauty. We explored the grounds and saw hares and lots of birds. We took a few outings to Enniscrone, Carrick on Shannon and Strandhill beach where we enjoyed beautiful walks while evenings were spent in front of the turf fire..Nice and cosy. We also had a BBQ under the shelter on our last evening. The welcome pack is much looked forward to.

Cosy, warm, clean, and comfortable with beautiful grounds makes this beautiful cottage the idyllic place to stay and relax. We love it and will return. Thank you, Kieran, as always.

Jeanie & Marty McFarlane 4th to 11th of July 2020.

In 40 years of staying in self-catering accommodations, we cannot remember staying in a property so beloved by its owner and all visitors. We're happy to add our name to that list. There has been so much to see and do in this area. All we can do is add a few details to what has already been well documented. King house. First, take the tour. Your guide will tell you how to get a 30% discount in the Abbey, the cafe, and gift shop/craft centre.

Carrowkeel. The tombs are on top of the hill - not signed. There is a stone arrow on the ground. There 5 minutes walk up the hill. We also went to Carrowmore and were lucky enough to speak with Padraig Meehan a researcher on Carrowkeel. The fascinating story has been updated as the DNA matching of the bodies has just happened. Closest match are Sicilians.

Ian and Sylvia Evetts 01/09/19

Our first but certainly not the last. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and as all have said before Kieran is a great host and gentleman. Particularly enjoyed the barn sitting below the Swallows whilst I am writing this with a couple of glasses of red. Around 10.30 pm we witness the horseshoe bats and their young going out for their nightly feed. We also captured on video a pine martin who was checking out the bin.
Recommend the Beachbar at Aughris head next to Dunmoran strand only 40 km away. Seafood is superb. All in all a great cottage with excellent facilities and utensils
Chris and Andrea + Poppy and Daisy Co Cavan. 20 Jul 2019

It is always a pleasure to return to James Tymon cottage and it never disappoints. Whether you just want to chill and relax or go sightseeing it is perfectly placed for both. The tranquil surroundings and river walk where you can observe all manner of wildlife is a treat. We were especially delighted by three massive hares and the nesting birds. We enjoyed a few outings. Lough Key has a variety of activities to suit all ages and we return here on our trips. We especially enjoyed Eagles Flying just outside Ballymote. This was a real treat. We also tried the Coach house hotel on the same day. Ir was great and we returned on our last night. We always look forward to the awesome apple pie and our son loves the apple juice. See you again in August.

Driving up the wild Atlantic way up to Bangor and heading to Gurteen all spectacular and memorable. Finding accommodation of this quality and be able to relax after our long journey was more than welcome. Kieran added to all the other surprises with his thoughtfulness and kindness. All the gadgets and energy-saving devices were impressive. Will always remember our stay at James Tymon cottage.
Thomas and Cornelia Australia., 04 Jun 2019

We have had a fantastic week. The cottage exceeded our expectations - with everything you would need and spotlessly clean. It's a lovely quiet and relaxing location. We did part of the wild Atlantic way - Ballisadare to Bundoran one day and Ballisadare to Ballina another. The scenery on the coastal route is amazing. We particularly enjoyed our time at the Eagles flying centre. Truly amazing + unlike anything we have done so close up before. Thanks for the apple pie, wine apple juice and milk - delicious Thanks again Kieran. We had a fantastic time. Even the weather was good.

Liz &Les Barker, 22 May 2019

Our fourth visit to James Tymon cottage and now we have seen it in every season. The cottage spins its magic yet again and as it comes into view as we arrive we can feel the tensions lifting. Christmas here was magical and we enjoyed a traditional time..with all the trimmings. Thanks again Kieran for a lovely time. The cottage was decorated elegantly and beautifully. Our dogs Meg Beth and Connie enjoyed the walks in the fields and meadows. Looking forward to our fifth visit in the Spring.

We have really enjoyed our stay at James Tymon cottage. Coming all the way from New Zealand we truly appreciate the Irish countryside and your simply beautiful home. It is so very comfortable and welcoming with fascinating pieces of Irish artwork and history displayed in every corner. The gardens are equally delightful. it has been a joy to experience this part of Ireland and we could not have asked for a more authentic Irish cottage. Your attention to detail is astounding. The delicious apple pie wine and Tipperary apple juice were most appreciated as has been the well-equipped kitchen and laundry. We'd love to visit again one day and will recommend your amazing cottage to any of our friends who head to this part of the world. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Ruth,Marc, Rebecca & David Kuhn Tier Germany.16th July- 27th of July 2018.

We stayed at this cottage for Christmas and the new yearThe cottage borders counties Sligo, Mayo and Roscommon which in turn leaves you with many choices to visit and enjoy. Lough Key forest and activity park is truly beautiful and a great day out 15 to 20 minutes from the cottage also Sligo with its many beautiful beaches and Benbulben mountain is approximately 40 minutes. Great shopping in Castlebar Co Mayo and a great day out in Carrick on Shannon with all its cruisers out on the river - loved it.

The actual cottage is a joy, everything you need is there, most comfy beds, open fire and wood burning stove. It was so cosy and relaxing and pet-friendly with so many beautiful walks. We loved our time there and will most definitely go back later in the year. The love and care the owner puts into this cottage show everywhere. I can't imagine anyone not been happy with a stay here, its a true gem-we loved it.

Lisa and John 8th of January 2018.

As soon as we read the reviews and details of the cottage we knew it would be the place for us. What a delight when we arrived and discovered such a beautiful, welcoming and homely cottage surrounded by such tranquil rural setting. Kieran has gone out of his way to give us a modernised home which still retains its quaint old world charms. We have thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing week here. the dogs have been in their element running through the meadows and exploring. This was just the tonic we needed to unwind and relax. Perfect in every way. We will be back, I hope many times.

Lore, David and their pets Connie, Tess, Meg and Beth. 19th of May 2017.

Hello Kieran and fellow travellers. I arrived at James Tymon cottage with my cousin Karen and watched a happy faced gentleman walk up the path from the river arriving with a warm and welcoming greeting. It was my first clue that our time at the farmhouse would be special and very memorable.1st time in Ireland and I am here to celebrate my 65th birthday. We have been impressed with the Irish hospitality - beautiful flowers, an apple pie, a warm fire, comfortable beds- a joyous home to return to each and every night and to top it off the people of the town of Gurteen also opened their arms and made us feel part of the community. After two evening concerts at the Coleman centre, we knew we were home. Thank you Kieran for making our first week such a delightful time.— Kathy,Karen, Holly and Amber - Olympia, Washington. Baltimore Maryland and Portland Oregon., 08 May 2017

This has been the first week of a three week stay in Ireland. We could not have chosen better for our first rental. The house is grand, the grounds extraordinary and the location perfect for exploring Co Sligo and Roscommon. Previous guests said how comfortable the bed was. I had my doubts but the bed is really very comfortable. Slept fantastic every night.
Kieran thank you. We could not have felt more welcome. We very much enjoyed the treats you left. The flowers were unexpected and appreciated. I very much hope to return one day.
— Amie and Randy Michigan, 02 May 2017

Our yearly visit to the cottage has been once again brilliant. The cottage as ever is amazing. Thank you for a warm welcome and the lovely Easter egg tree- the girls loved it. The books, games and toys are a good source of fun and get well used. Carrick on Shannon was a good day out -steeped in history and some good art exhibitions at the Dock centre. We had a fantastic meal at the Oarsman Inn Carrick on Shannon, great food and service. A good local place to eat is the Crossbar in Gurteen.— Ros, Paul, Bella and Sophia Macclesfield, Cheshire., 15 Apr 2017

Wellyet another fantastic week here in the cottage. Kieran, as ever, such a warm welcome and all the lovely treats, wine, apple pie, fruit juice, milk. Been a very relaxing week for us and our collies Max and Maisie who ran themselves ragged in the fields.Great wildlife watching especially the number of robins that visit the garden.

A lovely enjoyable stay, the house is absolutely beautiful including the grounds! Also what comfy beds. Everything is well thought out. We would definitely come back and can highly recommend the cottage.

Kate, laura and Erin Birmingham UK November2016.

This is a  return visit to James Tymon cottage and it did not disappoint. Both fires were lit and the cottage was warm, clean and cosy. Just perfect. For us, the icing on the cake is the grounds and the river walk. we look forward to returning.

Jean Co Antrim. October/November 2016

We have enjoyed our relaxing stay here very much It felt like a real retreat.  The cottage is really well resourced.  It is homely and the beds are very comfortable. There are some lovely walks around the property and the paths are well maintained. It was a great base for us to go sightseeing and is well situated for Sligo and the coast. All in all, we had a fantastic time staying here.

Paul,Kim and Ella Bristol UK. October 2016.

Arrived as usual to a lovely welcome. I fished the river that same evening and was immediately awarded with wild brown trout. My boys loved their walks around the fields and observing the different wildlife and flora- kingfishers, swifts and swallows. We visited Westport a lovely town and to Sligo a great place to shop and eat. As the days go by the stresses and strains of everyday life are becoming a distant memory and we are settling into the way of life that this beautiful place affords us. I have not slept as well in a long time. We leave with regret and sadness as Co Sligo is a beautiful and unspoiled county.

Kieran,Edel,Rory and Neil Cork.July 2016.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you. We had an amazing time in your beautiful cottage. We spent hours exploring the grounds, there was so much  t o see and do,the surrounding area is so peaceful and beautiful. On the days we did leave the cottage all the directions, maps, leaflets etc gave us plenty of ideas. The cottage really did exceed our expectations, we are sad to be leaving but  I know we will be back.

Laura,Shane and Jessica Co Down. August 2016.

Till then a big thank you,you really know how to make your guests feel welcome.

Bob,Maria and Robbie the dog. 22nd to the 25th of April 2016.

Getting out of the car to a cold day and what a lovely treat-both fires lit ready for our cosy evening in. This place is gorgeous fully equipped with everything we could want. A really lovely touch to put the wine and apple pie ready for us, can't believe it! Reading all the comments you've received we agree with everything. This place is like home already, what an asset. This will be a place we'll tell everyone about.

Sean and Hannah +Foxy Rosehall in the north of Scotland. 6th to the 10th of January 2016.

As we finish up our third year staying at the cottage we just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you do to make this place so special. We thoroughly enjoy coming here each December to prep for Christmas relax and unwind by the beautiful turf fire. We look forward to it year round. This year we saw our first snow at the cottage and it was as beautiful as we expected. Mollie our collie loves the space she has here and I love how safe it is with the gates closed.

Lyndsey, Michael,Alex, Liz and Mollie. 6th to the 13th of December 2015.

Many thanks for a relaxing stay in your beautiful farmhouse cottage - rustic charm in abundance, with a clever mix of modern (bathroom exceptional, love the  shower and shutters.)Attention to detail at every turn from the peat burning fires on arrival (not to mention a generous offering of apple pie, milk and wine - not forgetting the gingerbread man a very kind gesture much appreciated by our four year old.) to the music in the cd player, a joy to listen to while enjoying a baileys coffee by the kitchen stove. Loved the artwork adorning the walls.

Orla, Oisin Caoimhe and Bluebell 9old English sheepdog).  26th to 29th of November 2015.

Thank you for a fantastic weekend. We have stayed in many houses both in Ireland and abroad and we have never experienced this level of hospitality before. It was lovely to arrive on a cold day to a house where both fires were already going, a bottle of wine and one of a delicious apple juice in the fridge, an apple pie and a tray ready for tea, fresh flowers....all those little details made us feel like at home in minutes. The house is so well equipped and cosy that it didn't matter about the awful weather outside. We loved spending time by the fire, browsing through your beautiful books about the area or playing games.

Maria and Bob Armstrong. 20th to 23rd November 2015.

Time to drag myself away and return to the real world. This cottage has become my personal utopia where twice a year I get to be free of other cares and responsibilities of every day life. It's easy to understand why so many guests return time and again which is a far greater endorsement than any I could write. So I'll be back next May!

Frank Mclaughlan. UK. 4th to the 11th of Oct0ber 2015

What a wonderful week. The weather was brilliant and we have been all over the place. Would highly recommend Glengarriff Horseshoe drive, it's fantastic. We've stayed in many cottages in Ireland,uk and rest of Europe but James Tymon really does take some beating. All we'd hoped for.

Anne and Roger Gould Lower Ballinderry.24th of September the 3rd of October 2015

Thanks, Kieran for a warm welcome. The cottage is great second to none. Had a great week. The weather was good and the dog had a great time. The house is immaculate. Hope to see you next year.

Sally and Graham Carrickfergus. 29th of August to the 5th of September 2015.

Having read all the accolades written by previous visitors, there appears to be very little to add but to endorse them. The cottage was very comfortable and extremely well equipped. We have stayed in many cottages in Ireland over the past few years and James Tymon ranks at the very top. Needless to say the open fire went down a treat on arrival and I'd like to say the apple pie, wine and apple juice lasted well into the week but they didn't.

Donald Murray Isle of Man. 23rd to the 29th of August 2015.

Two weeks in your perfect cottage - it could not be better. Our first week was spent at the Fleadh in Sligo and the 2nd week -a memory tour of our journey with bike and tent in County Sligo and Mayo 20 years ago. Thank you for the hospitality apple pie and wine. As a gift to you a pack of gold ground coffee and a pack of Dutch Stroopwafels - test it.

Hank and Ankie Allart Krimpen a/d Yrsel The Netherlands. 8th - 22nd of August 2015

I'm in here several times already and I've run out of superlatives! Enough to say that I'm coming back again later in the year. This has to be one of the best cottages in the whole of Ireland.I just hope not too many people find out about it.

Frank Mclaughlan last week of May 2015

We have had the most wonderful week. The dogs have had a great time. As ever the cottage was amazing. We saw a kingfisher by the river plus wrens and robins which we fed. This place is a home from home. There is so much to do and places to see,I love it.

Rose and Bernie Oct 4th 2014.

Yet another brillant week. Once again the fishing and the accommodation absolutely superb. Kieran if you ever decide to sell this cottage I think I might buy it. I cannot remember if this is my fourth or fifth visit but I have never ever been disappointed.

Frank Mcloughlan September 21st 2014.

We enjoyed the absolute peace and the beautiful walks around the cottage. Saw a hare near the red gate and a kingfisher on the river. Lots of bird life. Fished the river which holds some very nice brown trout. The Crossbar has very good food and the local supermarket has everything.

Clifford and Susie 22nd August 2014.

We have had a fantastic week in the cottage. James Tymon is a very special place and one we all hope to come back to. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a very warm welcome and thinking of absolutely everything. This has been the perfect base to explore the area - day trips to Westport, beaches of Rosses point and Strandhill, the beautiful Lough Key forest park train ride to Carrick on Shannon and many castles. There is still plenty more to explore so we will be back.

Robbie, Angela, family and dog.26th of July 2014.

We are seasoned travellers around the south of ireland and I can honestly say that this beautiful cottage is absolutely the best we have ever stayed in. The welcome pack was amazing and the walks around the grounds along with the fishing on the doorstep has been great. We saw a fox and hares in the fields as well as birds nesting. It is also a great central location from which to drive to all the different attractions. There were more things to see and do than time but it is a good reason to return again. Thank you Kieran for your warm welcome and all the hard work you do to make this a perfect holiday destination.

Jeanie, Marty and Glen.19th July 2014.

Thank you Kieran for allowing us the pleasure of staying at your lovely cottage. The fresh flowers pie and wine were an extra treat. The peace and quiet of the countryside and lovely walks we enjoyed it all. We will see you on our next visit to Ireland.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. What a treat to be welcomed so warmly. We looked forward to returning every evening after our busy days exploring -it provided such a tranquil ending to the day. All the nice touches such as flowers comfy bed, carefully placed books and objects all around make it truly feel like a home.. Oh, I almost forgot about arriving to the warmth of the turf fires in the fireplace and stove a fantastic start to our stay. the house is clearly well cared for as are the guests who settle in for their stay.

We stayed in Kierans Cottage for a week. It was our fist visit to Ireland and we were looking Forward to it for so long. It was overwhelmimg for us, to get such a warm welcome. Kieran had prepared everything for us and it was a kind of homecoming. The house is so nice and cosy, the views around the house and the beautiful garden makes this house special. The house has everything you need for holidays and in the surrounding are so many things to see and to do. It was a long journey from Germany to Gurteen, but it was absolutely worth it. We hope, we can come back.
Thank you Kieran, for everything!

I have lost count of the number of times we have stayed in this cottage but each time it takes my breath away. This time was very special as our 18 month old daughter came. To say she loved it would be an understatement. Thank you Kieran for another fab holiday.

Vicky,Andy and Soffy. UK March 2013.

We booked James Tymon farmhouse for 3 nights and ended up staying an extra night because we didn't want to leave. Kieran was so helpful, providing us with driving directions and was there to greet us when we arrived. He had the turf fires burning and some much appreciated welcome treats for us. The property is in a great location for touring and returning to this lovely setting at the end of the day was perfect. We took our dog with us and she loved running and playing in all the open space that is available. The house is spotlessly clean and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking and preparing meals ( not always the case in self catering properties). We will be going back for another visit as soon as possible and look forward to taking friends or family in the future. Top Marks!!

We have had an absolutely wonderful holiday here. James Tymon cottage certainly exceeded all our expectations. The facilities and cleanliness were second to none,it has been a real home from home. We would have loved to stay longer. Our two dogs Sally and Bailey have had a fantastic time.To just step out the door and be able to walk them every day has been a real pleasure. Thank you Kieran for allowing us to bring them with us, it has made our stay complete and very relaxing. We are looking forward to our next visit to this lovely cottage and Ireland.

2 glorioue weeks!!! Arrived here at 12.30 in the morning and Kieran the perfect host was waiting for us to arrive along with apple pie, wine, apple juice and fresh flowers. Tymons cottage has an abundance of characterand charm and many perfect individual touches. Please dont change it!!
The walks along the river at the side of the cottage with our two very happy pouches was perfect and they have loved every minute of their two weeks stay.
The fishing was excellent, caught many trout and lots of roach.
Thank you Kieran for a perfect stay. Will be seeing you soon.

John,Carol,Gracie and Barney.,

Our sixth visit which pretty much says it all. The wagtail chicks have fledged and the nest in the barn is now empty which is sad. Hopefully they will return as we will.

Alison, John.,

We had a wonderful time in this most lovely cottage. This is a very special place not so much a holiday home which it is too but rather a beautifully kept home - a family place. The grounds are very beautifully kept. Walking the trails is a very beautiful way to enjoy the local nature and finding a picnic table, a bench, or a coffee table and chairs strategically placed is a thing of joy. We really enjoyed our time here.

Meja Maurice and Leyla,

Patricia & Joe.,

In 40 years of staying in self catering accommodation we can't remember staying in a property so loved by its owner and all visitors. We're happy to add our name to this list.
There has been so much to see and do in this area. All we can do is add a few details to what had already been very well documented.
King house. Visit first, take the tour and your guide will tell you how to get s 30 percent discount in the Abbey, the cafe and the gift shop/ craft centre.
Carrowkeel. The tombs Arron top of the hill not signed. There is a stone arrow on the ground. They're 5 minute's walk up the hill. We also went to Carrowmore and were lucky enough to chat with Padraig Meehan a researcher on Carrowkeel. The fascinating story has been updated as the DNA matching of the bodies has just happened. Closest matches are Sicillians.

Ian and Sylvia Evetts,

Our first but certainly not the last. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and as all have said before Kieran is a great host and gentleman. Particularly enjoyed the barn sitting below the Swallows whilst I am writing this with a couple of glasses of red. Around 10.30 pm we witness the horseshoe bats and their young going out for their nightly feed. We also captured on video a pine martin who was checking out the bin.
Recommend the Beachbar at Aughris head next to Dunmoran strand only 40 km away. Seafood is superb. All in all a great cottage with excellent facilities and utensils

Liz &Les Barker,

We have really enjoyed our stay in James Tymon cottage. Coming all the way from New zealand we truly appreciate the Irish countryside and your simply beautiful home. It is so very comfortable and welcoming with fascinating Irish art work and history displayed in every corner. The gardens are equally delightful. It has been a joy to expierence this part of Ireland and we could not have asked for more authentic Irish cottage. Your attention to detail is astounding.
The delicous apple pie, wine and Tipperary apple juice were most appreciated as has the well equipped kitchen and laundry. We'd love to visit again one day and will recommend your amazing cottage to any of our friends who head to this part of the world. Many thanks for your hospitality.

Here at James Tymon cottage we have met with all the blessings that Ireland has to offer the visitor. Warmth of tradition and the welcome of all who pass the way. If ever our fate allows us to come again it would be here to this house that we would start and end our stay.
A thousand blessings,

Thomas and Jeanne ,

Hello Kieran and fellow travelers. We have been impressed with the Irish hospitality - beautiful flowers, an apple pie,a warm fire, comfortable beds- a joyous home to return to each and every night and to top it off the people of the town of Gurteen also opened their arms and made us feel part of the community. After two evening concerts at the Coleman centre we knew we were home. Thank you Kieran for making our first week such a delightful time.

Kathy,Karen, Holly and Amber - Olympia,Washington. Baltimore Maryland and Portland Oregon.,

This has been the first week of a three week stay in Ireland. We could not have chosen better for our first rental. The house is grand, the grounds extraordinary and the location perfect for exploring Co Sligo and Roscommon. Previous guests said how comfortable the bed was .I had my doubts but the bed is really very comfortable. Slept fantastic every night.
Kieran thank you. We could not have felt more welcome. We very much enjoyed the treats you left. The flowers were unexpected and appreciated. I very much hope to return one day.

Amie and Randy Michigan,

Our yearly visit to the cottage has been once again brilliant. The cottage as ever is amazing. Thank you for a warm welcome and the lovely Easter egg tree- the girls loved it.The books, games and toys are a good source of fun and get well used. Carrick on Shannon was a good day out -steeped in history and some good art exhibitions at the Dock centre. We had a fantastic meal at the Oarsman Inn Carrick on shannon, great food and service. A good local place to eat is the Cross bar in Gurteen.

Ros,Paul,Bella and Sophia Macclesfield, Cheshire.,

Jeanie McFarlane,

We have enjoyed our relaxing stay here very much It felt like a real retreat. The cottage is really well resourced. It is homely and the beds are very comfortable. There are some lovely walks around the property and the paths are well maintained. It was a great base for us to go sight seeing and is well situated for Sligo and the coast. All in all we had a fantastic time staying here.

Kim Graham,

Just wanted to say a huge thank you. We had an amazing time in your beautiful cottage. We spent hours exploring the grounds, there was so much t o see and do, the surrounding area is so peaceful and beautiful. On the days we did leave the cottage all the directions, maps, leaflets etc gave us plenty of ideas. The cottage really did exceed our expectations, we are sad to be leaving but I know we will be back.

Laura,Shane and Jessica Co Down. August 2016.

Laura Laverty,

Arrived as usual to a lovely welcome. I fished the river that same evening and was immediately awarded with wild brown trout. My boys loved their walks around the fields and observing the different wildlife and flora- kingfishers, swifts and swallows. We visited Westport a lovely town, and to Sligo a great place to shop and eat. As the days go by the stresses and strains of everyday life are becoming a distant memory and we are settling in to the way of life that this beautiful place affords us. I have not slept as well in a long time. We leave with regret and sadness as Co Sligo is a beautiful and unspoiled county.

Kieran,Edel,Rory and Neil Cork.July 2016.
